CCGG announces publication of new research on Executive Equity Ownership
CCGG excited to announce the publication of a new research report, Management-Shareholder Alignment: Effective Equity Ownership Policies.
In 2022, CCGG conducted a review of the proxy circular disclosure of the 237 companies included in the TSX Composite Index to understand: (a) the structure of share ownership policies across each sector of the TSX Composite Index, and (b) the extent to which CEOs of the companies included in the Index rely on unvested compensation to meet their respective share ownership requirements. Our findings based on this review are set out in the new report, along with a set of recommendations for Boards of Directors to consider when implementing equity ownership policies in order to achieve a stronger link between management and shareholder interests.
